Pictures 1 - 6 is an early fifties 4th version which is now a bail spring loaded full bail with serial number is 190572 still located on the foot. The famous “300” is not engraved on these reels yet but Garcia as well as other distributors placed their stickers on this version. Pictures 7 - 8 is another Garcia distributed 4th version with serial number 608370 and picture 9 is a LH (301) box. On all of these, if you remove the Garcia stickers, they will look just like the European versions.
The very early 4th versions still did not have the reinforced axle shaft near the lube port screw but soon changed within this version around serial number 220000. The smooth anti-reverse lever also changed to having a rivet exposed at the pivot point around serial number 490000.
